The History of Batic
Depending on the quality of art work, fabrics, and the substance of manufacture, fine batik can achieve cost thousands of dollars. Why could reach that price? because batik is a handmade product and in the making can achieve a relatively long time. And of course also because there are ornaments on the batik.
Exactly origins of batik are unknown, but is most common on the island of Java in Indonesia. Stains was back in the kingdom of Majapahit in Java and only used for clothing King Family. Javanese Culture: "Tingkepan" the ceremonial of seventh month pregnancy
Javanese culture's ceremony called Tingkepan referred also known as mitoni come from word pitu which have meaning seven, so that ceremony mitoni conducted at the time of pregnancy age seven month, and at first pregnancy (will be the first son).
In execution of ceremony tingkepan, mother which with a child seven month bathed with water of kembang setaman (combination of some javanese flower's), joined with special prayers.
